YEAR 7 CURRICULUM

In Year 7 students complete a common curriculum across a broad range of subjects, based on the Victorian Curriculum Standards. Students complete a combination of year-long and semester-based subjects.

All students complete the Home Group Program (one period a week over the course of the year, which is in addition to the 10 minute session each morning) which promotes wellbeing and pastoral care. Home Group teachers also serve as a key contact for parents and guardians.

The Physical Education program also includes separate specialised soccer and AFL streams, with a separate class for each.

Students have the choice of studying Italian or Japanese as their Languages study.

Year 7 students also have the opportunity to join the LEAP program.

In Year 8 students complete a common curriculum across a broad range of subjects, based on the Victorian Curriculum Standards. Students complete a combination of year-long and semester-based subjects.

The Home Group program runs for a semester, with students completing Drama and Music in the alternate semester.

The Physical Education program also includes separate specialised soccer and AFL streams, with a separate class for each (the AFL stream will begin at Year 8 in 2021).

Students have the choice of studying Italian or Japanese as their Languages study.
