Taylors Lakes Secondary College’s Football Academy aims to create a link between the passion of the community in this sports medium and the learning outcomes of students at the College. It is designed to blend the passion and interest both male and female students have in soccer or AFL with their desire to gain a robust education that provides the basis for further tertiary studies and future employment in the workforce.

The program is unique in its nature, aiming to establish a structure which caters for students in the middle years, and eventually in the later years through VCE VET Sport and Recreation with a focus in soccer and football. Whilst the program is designed to operate within the curriculum structure of the College the facilitation of the academy is designed to include contributions from the local football community and governing body of the code. The Football Academy co-exists within the current curriculum structure of the College.
