YEAR 10 CURRICULUM
Students in Year 10 complete 12 units of study over the year. Two units of English, two units of Mathematics and one unit of Science are compulsory, while students can choose the remaining seven units from a range of subject offerings with certain safe guards to ensure students are fully prepared for VCE.
All units run for five periods per week. The Year 10 subjects are based on the Victorian Curriculum Standards, and are also designed to introduce students to VCE studies and topics.
In addition, students in Year 10 can accelerate into VCE Unit 1 and 2 subjects, providing selection criteria are met and approved.
There are exams for all Year 10 subjects at the end of each semester.
