We work with students and their families to ensure the right supports are implemented.

Imọwe ati Imọye Nọmba

 

Lati akoko ti ọmọ ile -iwe eyikeyi ba forukọsilẹ ni Ile -ẹkọ giga wa, a ṣe gbogbo ipa  lati ṣe idanimọ awọn agbara ọmọ ile -iwe ati paapaa awọn ọran eyikeyi ni awọn ofin ti idagbasoke ẹkọ wọn.  Idanwo ipilẹ ni Imọwe & Numeracy n pese aaye ibẹrẹ fun iṣẹ wa. Eyi ni atilẹyin siwaju nipasẹ data miiran ti o wa gẹgẹbi NAPLAN ati awọn igbelewọn ile -iwe bi ọmọ ile -iwe ti nlọsiwaju. 

Awọn eto lọpọlọpọ n ṣiṣẹ lati pese atilẹyin ti a fojusi fun awọn ọmọ ile -iwe pẹlu awọn iwulo ẹkọ ti a mọ.  A n ṣiṣẹ awọn eto ilowosi ni Gẹẹsi mejeeji ati Iṣiro kọja Awọn ile-iwe Ipele Kekere ati Aarin.  Atilẹyin Imọwe Ẹgbẹ (GLS) ati Awọn eto Atilẹkọ Iwe-kikọ Olukọọkan (ILS) tun ṣiṣẹ kọja Awọn ile-iwe.  Ni afikun si atilẹyin eto yii pẹlu awọn olukọni ti o ni oye ni awọn agbegbe wọnyi, a gba awọn oṣiṣẹ Iranlọwọ Ẹkọ mẹta lati ṣe iranlọwọ fun awọn ọmọ ile -iwe ni imotuntun ọgbọn imọwe.

Eto Imọwe Ọdun Aarin ati Atilẹyin Nọmba (MYLNS) tun n ṣiṣẹ kọja Kọlẹji naa. Eyi jẹ eto atilẹyin DET pẹlu awọn olukọ amọja, atilẹyin awọn ọmọ ile -iwe pẹlu imọwe imọ -jinlẹ ati awọn ọgbọn iṣiro ni isalẹ awọn ipilẹ orilẹ -ede.

Eto wa fun Awọn ọmọ ile -iwe ti o ni Awọn ailera ati Awọn ailera jẹ atilẹyin daradara pẹlu apapọ ti awọn olukọ Ẹkọ Pataki ti o pe ni kikun ati ẹgbẹ ti Oṣiṣẹ Iranlọwọ Ẹkọ lati pese iranlọwọ ni afikun si awọn ọmọ ile -iwe ninu eto naa.  A ni akojọpọ awọn atilẹyin ati awọn ilowosi fun ọpọlọpọ awọn ọmọ ile -iwe:

A n ṣiṣẹ pẹlu awọn ọmọ ile-iwe ati awọn idile wọn lati rii daju pe a ṣe imuse awọn atilẹyin to tọ, ni ibere fun awọn ọmọ ile-iwe lati ni ilọsiwaju mejeeji ni eto-ẹkọ, ati awujọ-ẹdun.

 

 

Iṣẹ amurele/Awọn akoko ikẹkọ

Aṣayan atilẹyin bọtini kan ti o wa fun gbogbo awọn ọmọ ile -iwe jẹ Awọn iṣẹ amurele/Ikẹkọ ti o waye ni Ile -ikawe Kọlẹji naa.  Iwọnyi ṣiṣẹ ni ọjọ Ọjọbọ lẹhin ile -iwe titi di 4:00 irọlẹ pẹlu itọkasi ile -iwe alabọde ati alabọde ati  ni Ọjọbọ lẹhin ile -iwe titi di 4:45 irọlẹ pẹlu itọkasi ile -iwe agba. Ni awọn akoko wọnyi ọpọlọpọ awọn olukọ nfunni ni atilẹyin atinuwa si awọn ọmọ ile -iwe pẹlu iṣẹ wọn.  Ni afikun, Ile -ikawe wa ni sisi fun lilo ọmọ ile -iwe titi  4:30 irọlẹ ni ọjọ kọọkan lẹhin ile -iwe ati ọpọlọpọ awọn ọmọ ile -iwe tun lo aye lati ṣiṣẹ pẹlu awọn ọrẹ lori iṣẹ ti a ṣeto ni awọn akoko wọnyi.

We have a suite of supports and interventions for a diverse range of learners.

Program for Students with Disabilities and Impairments

 

Our Program for Students with Disabilities and Impairments is well supported, with a mix of fully qualified Special Education teachers and a team of Education Support Staff to provide additional assistance to students in the program.  We have a suite of supports and interventions for a diverse range of learners:

  • Individual Learning Plans for students with additional needs

  • Optional extended transition for Grade 6 students

  • Inclusion Program run by qualified special education teachers

  • Onsite Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy via a private contractor, including assessments, and additional services for NDIS clients.

  • Referrals for cognitive assessments for funding via Program for Students with Disabilities

  • Referrals and recommendations for external supports

  • Opportunities such as Social Skills Groups, Zones of Regulation learning, and Organisation for Learning, run by our specialist teachers, allied health, and wellbeing teams

  • In-class supports such as modified and differentiated curriculum, teachers’ aides where appropriate

  • Student Support Group meetings

  • Literacy Intervention

We work with students and their families to ensure the right supports are implemented, in order for students to make progress both academically and socio-emotionally.

Homework/Tutorial Sessions

A key support option available to all students is the Homework/Tutorial Sessions held in the College Library. These operate on Wednesday after school until 4:00 p.m with a junior and middle school emphasis and on Thursday after school until 4:45 p.m with a senior school emphasis. At these sessions, many teachers offer voluntary support to students with their work. In addition, the Library is open for student use until 4:30 p.m each day after school, and many students also take the opportunity to work with friends on set work at these times.
